After some time-consuming uploading and intense editing, the photos from the Webb Ellis Cup's visit to Alresford and the activities throughout the day have now been added to this season's photo gallery. They're split into two albums for ease of perusal, one album for the trophy visit and the other for the match against Aldershot & Fleet RFC in the evening. There are still more to come too!

Unfortunately, due to last night's torrential rain and the yellow weather warning in place for Hampshire today, we have had to cancel all our outdoor events. The pitches are unsurprisingly water-logged and we therefore cannot hold the planned fixtures on them today.
However, the Webb Ellis Cup is still coming to Alresford, together with RFU dignitaries who will be welcomed indoors at Alrebury Park. So you can still come down, get your photo taken with the cup and celebrate rugby! Programme – Alresford Celebrates RUGBY – 26th August 2015.

Following last week's sad announcement, we are now able to confirm that Brian Wilmot's funeral will take place at 16:00pm on 13th August 2015 at Wessex Vale Crematorium, Hedge End. The Club will also be open following the service, to allow everyone to raise a glass to Brian and celebrate his time with us and his considerable contribution to the club. Congratulations to all ARFC members, friends, supporters and anyone that voted for us. We heard yesterday that we have been awarded the full amount of the 'Have-your-Say' Grant that we applied for.
This means that thanks to your votes we will be able to put in place the kit storage we so desperately need at the new pitches. Thank you! |
