I met some of your team in Lyon last week while I was on a bit of a retirement tour of Europe. Brilliant bunch of people and as usual, the typical rugby crowd, good fun no trouble. Pass on my best wishes to them, they were a credit to your team.
Following this weekend's match against Romsey RUFC at Alrebury Park, the club were shocked and saddened to learn that Romsey's 'Man Of The Match' Macauley Campbell (seen on the ball here) tragically lost his life in a car crash on Saturday night.
We as a club would like to extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Mac's family, friends and everyone at Romsey RUFC affected by this tragic loss.
Many Alresford players have already been in touch to express their shock and offer their condolences. The general feeling amongst our players is that he was a talented young man on the pitch and a real gentleman off it. He will be missed.
Alresford Rugby Club welcomed representatives from Covers Timber & Builders Merchants at Alrebury Park on 14th January 2016 to extend our thanks for their support in becoming our most recent sponsors.
