To all Committee Members, Marshals, Stewards. From John Cattle , Chair AWF.I would like to thank all Committee members for the work they have put into the Festival this year, it's a pleasure to work with you all and it always seems to come together on the day. Please convey to all our marshals and stewards our thanks, without you we cannot operate - well done. Finally we should all be proud to be part of this Festival- it really is I think one of the best run in every way.Thank you all,John.
Please accept my apologies for contacting you via this means but I could find no other way.
For the second year running my family visited the wonderful Watercress festival and enjoyed it very much. It was obvious that lots of hard work went into making our day a very special one.I sat down today to 'digest' the festival's free guide book.It was too difficult with bags and crowds to enjoy this earlier. I was rather disappointed that the competitions on page 18 were not open to me as I'd visited on the 19th and they closed on the 18th.
Our family love watercress and I have a wonderful Lamb and Watercress Lasagne recipe which I'd be happy to pass on for inclusion in the next mag.if you could let me have an email to the editors please. Today I made a ( concocted by me) meal which contains watercress and has turned out to be a magnificent way of using up minced beef. Again I'm happy to forward it.
Lastly I cannot understand why, when we have a fairly local source ( I live in Southsea) that the only place I can find bags of watercress here are in the bigger Tesco stores and they're STILL not from Arlesford. The smaller shops sometimes have watercress and rocket mixed but I detest rocket.Thank you for lending me your 'ear'. Kind Regards
